Review of the Castel Hotel, NottinghamHaving recently visited the Castel Hotel, I found myself grappling with a stark contrast between cost and luxury. The establishment boasts a prime location, just off the bridge into the old town and within proximity to the charming river beaches. The building is steeped in history, and the rooms have been modernised, offering comfortable beds and effective shower facilities. My experience with the service was disappointing. For a hotel of this calibre, one would expect attentive personnel and prompt room service, which were notably lacking. Laundry facilities and dining opportunities were minimal, and while breakfast was generous, it lacked variety. Free Wi-Fi was a plus, yet the overall value falls short of expectations. Consider alternate options for a more fulfilling stay in this historic town.
